What is the difference in color correction services?
The "before & after" example above shows the difference between auto color correction and what we do manually to correct each image. To preserve the best quality over time, we highly recommend the manual color correction as shown above. It adjusts color, contrast, exposure, and even straightens crooked shots.

What is the difference in auto and manual cropping?
Auto cropping is performed by our equipment. Although it does a pretty good job, we can't ensure that a few images won't include some of the slide encasing. For this reason, we recommend the Scan Only service for those who anticipate editing their own images.

What is Digital ICE ?
ICE uses infrared technology for dust & scratch reduction. We use it on every project.

What kind of discs do you use?
We use 50-year rated, archive quality DVD-R discs. We use DVD-R because they are compatible with the greatest number of DVD players. DVD players over 8 to 9 years old may have a hard time playing a DVD-R. Hollywood-style DVD formats are availalbe, but require a replication process and a minimum order of 1,000 copies.

Will my DVD play on my computer?
There is a difference between a formatted DVD and a CD with a video file on it. Your video will be provided to you on a formated DVD. If your computer has DVD player capabilities and you can view other DVDs, then our discs will also play.

I want scene selections at specific points in the video. Can you do that?
Yes. The service requires us to monitor your video and a special-handling fee applies.

Can you put a picture on our label and case cover?
Yes. We charge just $10 for the special request.
